About Me

Hi! My name is Jackie. I currently work as a Cybersecurity Engineer for a non-profit, but I spend most of my free time adventuring with my pup and traveling with friends, and sometimes solo.

While quitting your full-time job and traveling the world sounds nice, it's not realistic for the majority of us, so I try to find ways to get the most out of my paid time off from work. With the help of flexible work hours, teleworking, and holidays I strive to maximize my time off to experience the most out of life. Having new stimulating experiences, trying new foods, and meeting new people make me feel alive and are some of the top things I value. Quality time and quality experiences where I can feed my curiosity about the world are what motivates me.

I created this personal blog as a fun way to reflect on my international and domestic travels as well as other general interests of mine (technology, health, fitness, dogs, etc.).

While I'm home, I like to spend time with friends, take walks with my dog, make espresso, assemble complex salads, listen to music, binge watch TV shows, and stay fit! I also enjoy photography and video-editing.
